JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title     :         Marketing and Communication Executive
Reports to :         General Manager

Major Responsibility

- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
- Conduct market research to determine market requirements
- Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
- Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
- Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
- Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
- Determine and manage the marketing budget
- Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
- Develop pricing strategy
- Liaison with media and advertising

Market Research

Pricing and Rates:

- Local market survey on pricing and clients’ needs
- Rate chart for local and overseas clients

Marketing Outreach

- Re-establishing contact with old clients
- Establishing contact with new clients

Project Proposals

- Suggestions for new products and services
- Finding new commissions/assignments

Intrabench

- Creation of client database for use on Intrabench
- Sorted by industry with key contact persons
- Including prior history of existing clients when available

Communications

- System for weekly ‘Picture of the Week’
- DPA Newsletter for local photographers and clients
- Mailer/Card/Calendar

Sales Support

- Price Negotiation, Picture Delivery, Invoicing, Payment Collection [liaising with Accounts]

Workshops & Events

- Assist in arranging for workshops and meetings for photographers. [SOS]
